MultiSal® Dark Circle Eliminator

MultiSal® Dark Circle Eliminator is an encapsulation system designed to reduce discoloration and puffiness under the eyes.

Dark circles are bilateral, round, homogenous blemishes that may be caused by a number of factors such as age induced skin inflammation which promote blood vessel growth that is visible on the skin surface. Other causes include dilation of blood vessels in under-eyes due to heredity.

Caffeine has been shown to stimulate circulation and reduce swelling. Caffeine also has anti-inflammatory properties that reduce the puffiness associated with dark circles. However, its water solubility (approximately 2% w/w) compromises efficacy. Caffeine crystallizes at concentrations above 2%, causing unpleasant and gritty formulations and limiting its ability to effectively perform.
